I suspect that paper can take a lot of heat
since it won't melt like plastic. More important
compared to glass mounted slides is whether you
can get the whole image in focus (projecting a
Spicer MF mounted slide).

Are MF projectors designed for glass mounted
slides only (flat field lenses) or for non-glass
(curved field lens perhaps)?

  I like #2 :) but 1 is a big issue.

I've never done stereo projection but from
what I hear slides that look best in a viewer
aren't necessarily slides that look best projected.
So perhaps having Spicer mounted viewer slides and
glass mounted (or at least separately mounted) projection
slides is the way to go.

Though I'm not sure how one decides if a newly
taken slide is best for projection or viewing without
trying both.

The biggest issue I see to siamesing projectors
is whether the condensors and other optics (with
their holders) are narrow enought to be placed
side by side at 63mm spacing.
