  I have some test slides Joel took with a pair
of Lubi's and they looked quite good. Even though
he used a fixed focus point because one was having
focusing meshing problems.

  Wacky idea: do you have any interest in siamesing
for profit?  You could probably get around the $250
that a Sputnik goes for for a siamese job like yours.
Many people would like the 12 exposures you get.
I don't know how many hours your siamesing takes and
what your time is worth to you.
