Hi Brian-
I, too, am interested this camera, and I called John Saddy about it.
>From what I can tell from the description his camera handler gave me, it
would be a good user after a technician goes through the mechanicals and
replaces the mirror and possibly the focusing screen (anywhere from
$250-$400). It also likely has fungus on the viewing lens.
I am currently high bidder on this piece, and expect it will go for
*well* over John's estimate. If I am fortunate enough to win the
auction, and you are interested in a Sputnik, I'd be glad to offer you
mine for what I paid for it. It is a very clean camera (mint-) and I'm
told quite good for a Sputnik, free from lights leeks et al...
