Alan Lewis twinned Yashika A's AFAIR. Is the focusing
the same on them?

I assume you bought a fixer-upper so you'll
have something to do in your free time :) :)

Understood.

BTW I managed to work on my 225's again last night.
I had bought some more of the 10mm OD 5mm ID bearings
yesterday so I made my second film spool coupler insert.
This was the harder one since it is for the takeup
side and needs to drive the spool in the slave camera
from the master camera spool.
But I managed to kludge one together and got it to
work. It needs some fine tuning and some epoxy to
hold it together but I'm pretty happy. I even loaded
my dummy roll (just the backing paper) into the
slave camera and had everything advancing as it should.
Cool.
I decided that getting the two rolls to thread at
the same time is going to be very difficult. Luckily
Fuji invented their quick load spool (or whatever they
call it) just in time. If you haven't seen it, it is
very cool. The paper at the start of the spool has
a small hole punched in it and the slot of the spool
has a little hook that catches the hole. Once it hooks,
no slipping.
I have lots of old Velvia in the freezer, so I'm
going to see if I can get a bunch of the new Fuji
spools from my friendly camera store. I assume they
have a big bin of 120/220 spools that get sent back
for recycling.
