As someone else said the Ricohflex's focus
by turning the front (geared together) lenses.
So that's not a problem with two cameras side
by side.

For advancing the film I would just loosen
my slidebar slider and move the left camera over
a bit to have enough room to turn the knob, then
slide it back to minimum spacing.

At one point I was looking for a rubber tire
(or similar) to fit over the advance knob so that
I could advance the film without moving the cameras
apart (by having the tire stick out the back and top
of the cameras a bit). But then I started using my
upgraded Sputnik and stopped using the Ricohflex's
for non-hypers.
