Tony: I assume this was supposed to go to the rkymtmem-3d list,
not to me personally at rkymtmem@xxxxxxxxxxxx

I have just obtained the cheapest 35mm stereo viewer ever.
I called into my local photo shop for some sepia toner and lying on
the counter was a 2X2 slide viewer. Made of plastic with a lens
(meniscus) at one end and a frosted screen at the other. Naturally,
the slide is pushed into the slot - held up to the light, and viewed
- - just like any other old viewer. This one was slightly different
in as much as the shape it is 55mm wide by 25mm deep and 60mm long.
It occured to me that two of then turned on edge would form a stereo
viewer if separated by the correct space. I purchased two of them and
within 1 hour had built a box around them and provided them with 6v
hologen lighting. The card mounts fit perfectly and the lenses,
although cheap and nasty, don't give ant colour fringing at all. The
whole thing (without the bulbs and fittings) has cost me less than £5
($8) and is a really super viewer.
The name on the box isUNOMAT INTERNATIONAL D-100 slide viewer.

Believe me, it is well worth investigating. I am going to photograph
the whole thing - scan it, and try to send it with the email. This is
something that I have never done before, so if anyone knows the
procedure for adding a graphic file to the email, let me know the
secret, please.
