I've watched these on e-bay for the past year or so and the
market price has gradually creeped up. A nice camera with
case used to sell for around 150 to $160 but that's been
creeping up to $170 - $180. Its still one of the most
readily available and economical bargains in med. format.
Mint condition cameras will command $200+. If you watch long
enough you will occasionally see a new camera in its original
box come up for bid.

There's a lively market for 124G's on E-bay, I've seen as
many as 7 cameras listed at one time and there's almost always
one or two up for sale.

As for the battery problem I wouldn't worry about it. Tests
I've done with a 1.5 v. silver battery produces exactly 1 stop
underexposure across the whole range which is easily compensated
for. Stay away from alkaline batteries though, their voltage will
continually drop as they age producing unpredictable readings
with time. The silvers have a relatively flat voltage fall off
like the mercuries except at 1.5 instead of 1.3 v.

BTW. Are they still selling PX-625 Mercury batteries in Canada
anyone?
