Full frame (35mm) viewer

Hi guys,

Had some time and energy the last
couple of nights and I started whipping
up a viewer using the dual 36x94mm achromats
and the lens holders Mark made for me.

I had a plastic case laying around
(from Radio Shack I think) and have
mounted the lenses on one edge. Last
night I worked on cutting and carving
some milled hard maple I have to make
the slide holder.

It is complicated by the Franka
adapters I want to use (to let me view
41x101's and 2x2x2's). The Realist
one has a thick plastic edge on the sides
but the dual 2x2 one is thin their and
the 2x2 slide mount goes right to the
edge. Thus you need a spring right at
each edge to hold the 2x2's against the
Franka adapter. Luckily I have some
berylium copper springs that should work.
But it does make the slide holder
much more complicated than just some
grooves. (I have a few extras Mark if
it would help you in your combo viewer.)

  Haven't decided about lighting yet.
I have a couple of 0.5A@xxxx halogens
from George that I have no other use
for. They might do the trick. If I
wire them in series I wonder if they'd
run ok off AA nicads?

More later - Greg
