My medium format stereo viewer uses two halogens hooked up in parallel,
I guess, with two D nicad cells. With just two cells it would be
parallel, right? Anyway, the bulbs drain the nicads fairly quickly. I
believe my bulbs are rated 0.8A thopugh I bought them from George too.
Eventually I switched to the highest capacity D nicads. Also, nicads are
necessary to get adequate current flow. Alkalines resulted in lower
light output.
