We want to test multiple cameras without
disassembling them. The focus needs to be
set somewhere? Intermediate focus distances
mean that you are relying on focusing the
cameras to the same mark on the distance
scale.

If you jam the focus to min, it may not
be consisitent between cameras depending
on how the focus stop works.

So I figured the cameras were originally
manufactured so that the infinity focus
stop was accurate. If they haven't been
too banged around it may still be (questionable
assumption perhaps). Thus inf is IMO the
best place to have the cameras focused.

Better would be to remove the shutter/lens
modules and mount them on a consistant reference
point. But Bob wants to be able to borrow
cameras and test them w/o disassembley (which
involves leather removal on the front).

  That's the story.

Cool idea but then you have to disasseble the
lens/shutter assy right? You can't just place it
behind the lens.
