I still think a MF stereo camera based
on the Mamiya TLR lenses would be ideal
(in a non-lottery win world).

5 element 80mm f2.8 and they go to
f32. So they should be a bit sharper
(at wider apertures) plus the faster
lens should make the finder screen
brighter and the focus snap in and out
more obviously.

And the viewfinder glass is interchangable
with the taking lens glass. So if Mamiya
matched them up in manufacture you could
have a matched set straight away. (A VF
lens taken from a different lens might
be close enough for focusing and framing
purposes. Don't know).

But I don't see an easy way to
make a camera based on them. And
I don't (yet) have the skills to
make one. The Mamiya TLRs are too
big and wide and heavy to make a
twin rig from, so you'd want to
make your own body.
