Say it like Steven, spell it Stephen. This happened once when giving my
name to someone at a company:

Me: 'My name is Stephen Kearney, s-t-e-p-h-e-n--k-e-a-r-n-e-y'
Them: 'You mean Stefan'
Me: 'No, Stephen'
Them: 'But you spelled it Stefan'
etc.

It was Mike Watters. I'm not sure about the rear element story. I've
never shot with anything wider than f/16 since I wanted DOF anyway.
