My first thought was that he got a promotion
or new assignment at work, which pays more
(thus more money to spend) but is will require
more attention/work which will limit his spare
time.

However, after reading Bob's post:

I remembered of Greg's idea to do wedding 3d
photography with an S1 which he was discussing a
year or so ago.  So I wonder if has decided to try
professional 3d photography (like wedding
photography) on his "free" time.
