...which brings up the philosophical conversations about whether
stereo photography is an end unto itself, or if it's only a means
to an end ("life-like photography", for instance).  To each
the answer is different, or different to the same person depending
upon the momemnt asked.

Personally, I find strong miniaturization effects to be
something that isn't something I like to do -- but if others
like it, that's fine with me.
