Mike

Just want to make sure, before I forget...when scanning anything
larger than 2x magnification it is necessary to mount the chromes on the
drum in a liquid solution. This solution prevents Newton rings and gets rid
of tiny imperfections. The solution is made exclusively for drum scanners
and of course is suppose to have no ill effects on the chromes. Assuming
you clean off the solution with the film cleaning solution... Some people
are ultra sensitive to wetting their originals with anything... So I wanted
to be sure this is OK with you...

From the short period of time I have been doing this, I have seen no
ill effects to the chromes.... All profesional labs use the solution I
use...It better be good, it cost $200 per gallon!!! BTW, I use it on all my
chromes..
