      To be safe, I would start out with 1/30th rule, i.e. the nearest
object in the scene...anything, even grass, divide the distance by 30, and
thats the stereo base.  So if your near object is 30ft, your base is 1ft.
This formula can be modified down the road, but see if you like the look of
this first, I wish I started that way!
