[MF3D.FORUM:1629] MF 3D Expo 2000 update
- From: Paul Talbot <ptww@xxxxxxxxx>
- Subject: [MF3D.FORUM:1629] MF 3D Expo 2000 update
- Date: Wed, 04 Apr 2001 14:37:30 -0500
The medium format 3D Expo 2000 experienced a few delays
recently because folks left something out of the box when
sending it on to the next person. The box ended up having
to be held up more than once to allow missing content to
catch up.
Please remember to check the contents against the included
"package contents" list before mailing the package, to avoid
having this problem reoccur.
The Expo and I were both in Houston this weekend, so I
picked it up from Dorothy to replace the lamp unit (which
had suffered battery leakage damage), repair some damage
to the viewer, and repackage the contents. It should be
in the hands of David Motz today or tomorrow. I'll update
the status page as soon as I hear that he has received it.
See http://www.rmm3d.com/funlearn/mf3dexpo2000status.html
to check the status. Dave Huddle, George Themelis, and Lee
Moore are up next after David Motz.
Newcomers not familiar with the expo may want to look at
http://www.rmm3d.com/funlearn/mfexpo.html for some info
on how it works. The expo is a once-around circuit, as
opposed to the continuosu circuit 3D "folios." There
are at least three medium format 3D folios in operation:
Greg Erker's folio (two simultaneous boxes)
MF Folio II, adminstered by Brian Reynolds (one box)
Delta Folio (SSA)
Several folks have offered to contribute slides to a more-
or-less permanent expo to be used to promote MF 3D. I'd
like to go ahead and start compiling the permanent expo,
so if you can find something to contribute to the cause,
please let me know.
