Hi,
Greg Erker here.
I started 3d photography in 1990 by buying a Pentax stereo
adapter to have some wedding photos in 3d (rather than a
video which Dawn and I didn't want).
In 1995 our house was robbed and while visiting pawn shops
looking for my stolen (2d) camera gear I came across a Nishika
camera and bought it. After talking about it on the Photo-3D list
George Themelis (aka Dr. T) offered to loan me a 'real' 3d camera
for a trial. So I got a Realist camera and red button viewer to try,
and after one roll I bought it from him.
I liked (and like) the Realist and viewer but found the film grain
intrusive. Even with Kodachrome 25.
Later I found a Ricohflex TLR and tried it out. Liked it, but found
the retinal rivalry to be a problem. Later got a second Ricohflex
via a guy on usenet. And built a better viewer (that I still use today).
Later I bought Joel's extra sputnik and fixed it up.
Later still I built a twin TLR camera (my SR225). Most of my 3d
projects are written up on my web page:

I'm the organizer of "Greg's" medium format stereo folio. We have
two boxes going now and are on loop number 9. I enjoy seeing other
people's photos. It always inspires me to take more of my own. Even
if I live no where near mountains or waterfalls.
