Yes, the Great Yellow Father discontinued the manufacturer of materials for
Dye Transfer, but there are several new sources for the materials -
especially Matrix film, the key material for the process. I have fooled
around with using a bromide type paper that has been exposed and bleached
as well as Litho film that has been bleached. Both will create a raised
gelatin image that can hold and transfer inks.

Technicolor is reintroducing the 3-Strip process once again, so there may
be a source for 35MM Matrix film. If this happens, perhaps the manufacturer
of the 35MM stock will also produce larger sheet sizes. Finally, there are
materials out there that might be suitable for printing matrices by way of
ink jet technology.

I have wanted to do this for several years, as I have used one-shot cameras
in the past. NO, I am not that old, we demonstrated the camera to some
folks a number of years ago and I started thinking about a smaller version
for making direct color separations. So we will see.
