Concerning custom filters. If you are going to take the time to make a
filter, use a Wrattin gel. Still the best material to use. Most of the Poly
materials are inconsistent. Even the Resin materials are not consistent
always, and amazingly, are probably common plastics such as Plexiglas. Sold
at outrageous prices, I might add,

If you want a simple way to make filters, take a cheap filter such as a UV
and delaminate it. Clean carefully and relaminate with the proper gel
material. Norland and others make a good UV Cure optical adhesive, but you
will need a UV Lamp.

I started doing this because I needed some series 9 filters and the costs
were astronomical..even years ago.

I guess the question is how much effort you want to expel on the project.
Have you considered using simple gel filters and a gel filter holder? In an
emergency, you can simply hold the filter over the lens.
