Why would you need it? DVD was designed for Video, not envisioned as a
still device. Buy a rewritable CD-ROM player/recorder. It is far more than
you need. There is also very little difference in the quality of the stored
image, which is only as good as the capture method. If you had one today,
there is not going to be a difference in quality.
BTW: Experience has taught me that it is a tendency of many people to seek
out the latest and greatest technology, not the technology that will work
best. There is always something else over the rainbow, and at a far greater
cost.
