Will,

There have been a few new 202 cameras out there that now have 1/500 sec
top shutter speed. I have not seen one, but they are out there. I don't
know if they also have a higher speed on the slow gear train!!!

As there is no big export house that sells these cameras you only find
out if you have the latest when you open the box and look at the
camera...

I also just got a 202 and have the older top shutter speed of 1/250 sec.
If you don't know, most Russian cameras use the first two numbers of the
serical # to tell you the year of manufacture. I have a 96 but from what
I can make out it was sold out of the factory in Sept of 98.
or that what's stamped in the Russian inst book...
