Good God... must this pointless thread be continued? What difference does
it make to anyone, if someone wants to send pictures in for inclusion in a
book? It does not affect you in the least. Stop with the Professional Vs.
Amateur rhetoric... it means very little.

These days, there are very, very few "Pro" photographers that are worth
much, and there are many amateurs that can shoot rings around most pros. I
think that many so called Professional can learn from amateurs.. I do, all
of the time. If you are a pro, you were once an amateur, so don't pick on
the amateurs..they are not hurting you in the least.

So some guy wants pictures for a book. Big deal...another book of
photographs. If he can get people to submit, fine. I wish him well. Stop
all this inane back and forth arguing about this subject, it is not worth
it, and it makes no difference, and none of you out there will get hurt
either way.

The idea that the Editor or Publisher should also work for free is a stupid
idea and I will not address that idiotic idea here.

Finally, I gather that he is not asking for any assignment of rights, so no
one who submits will loose the right to sell the image.
