So what's the point?

Some people will use freeware, and some will not. Some will pay for photos,
and some will not. And you can be sure it's only going to get worse as
equipment gets cheaper and easier to use.

Photography has always been this way, and always will be. It's one of those
arenas where everyone else can do it better and cheaper. It's up to you to
show the client why he should pay more for the privilege of retaining your
services. Or do you think someone should just _give_ you food, drink, et
al, because you have nice equipment and want to live in a nice house? 

It's a rough business. So is capitalism. Deal with it.
