dear ravi- i can't tell if i answered this, but stamp was a suggestion from then photo officer jan ralph. we started with b/w panoramic from across the river with cyclopan and  long lens, sweeping much, much less than 360 degrees from 59th str bridge down river to below 14th st. 70mm film. it was in committee couple of years. i walked in with transparency used about year later, casual shot from blimp while on ny daily news sunday magazine color job. stamp issued in 1989 and is currently on sale 1999. how do i know ? i went to u.n. couple weeks ago mail bruce warner. stamp collector son of list member, a first day cover, presentation info, and further using this panoramic stamp itself on envelope. the intention was to have pan stamp. did it! simon says

Yeah! I'd like to know too how come they chose your image för the stamp. Please tell us the full story.

And if I knew what rock you were hiding behind, you'd get more licked than your stamp ever got.... (for showing the worst netiquette ever seen)
