X-rays problem and scanners

Hello Panphotogs,

First time contributor. I enjoyed reading all the notes, this is real cool!

Some more info on the X-ray film problem. 
The CTX-5500 is the machine that will cause film problems. The company that
makes this thing has a web site www.invision-tech.com  

Also check the Photo Dist New bulletin board. Look for the Feb. 22 messages,
They talk about the lead bags.  They were saying when the X-ray techs view the
lead bag they use the high power setting to see into the lead bag and the high
power x-rays damages the film.


One more item regarding the Imacon scanner. The $17 one. 
The Imacon tech guy's say the maximum scan length is 240 mm.
