Dear gang,

I came across some very interesting military cameras, including a few
prismatic 180 degree panorama cameras. Usually these are designed
for 70mm perforated film, but this time there is also a 5" perforated
film version offered.

This of course raises the question which emulsions are still being
offered in 5" by whatever manufacturer....since no film simply means
a paperweight of unprecedented proportions (the 70mm versions
already weight 15kg).

My interest is not just panoramic; 70mm also allows using Kodak HIE &
EIR infrared....yet the next larger format for HIE & EIR is 9.5"
perforated, as I have never seen claims of 5" infrared.
But since I also have never heard of 9.5" cameras in this category,
this makes me wonder whether my overview in this territory might be
incomplete.

Anyone a good insight of the 5" emulsions still on the market,
permanently or batch-wise for special applications/orders?
