New reduced price high resolution scanning

Hi Gary:
I am posting to the entire list since this high end scanner price drop
now puts a quality high resolution scanner at an affordable price
point for many photographers. When I purchased my last high res
scanner, I was (naturally) dismayed at the rapid depreciation (as
with all computer gear!) of the equipment. With this reasonable
price, you limit your loss from the get go but also get the quality we
all strive for!
I purchased the Powerlook IIIse, part #SPKG-13120 (comes with
the transparency adaptor-lighted hood built into the scanner) for
$1012. plus shipping. Note that the lower priced Powerlook III part
#SPKG-13121 has the same resolution but NO transparency
adapter. I mention the lesser unit so that no one accidentally orders
the wrong model. You can obtain the IIIse unit from the following
three retailers I have found:
Onsale, First Source, and CMP Express.
What follows is a comprehensive list I created of all the lowest
priced dealers for this scanner. This shopping service is efficient
and accurate. Modify it for whatever you need to price. It worked
perfectly for me. Point your brower to:

Hope you all find this helpful.
