Hi Dan,

That manila 6x17 mount sample you have was probably manufactured  by Photo File Inc., now in Northfield , Illinois - 847-441-5450 - the manila card is quite light weight and the sleeve/ pocket is made of mylar. There is only enough room in the pocket to put a "bare" chrome or neg not a sleeved one.

Many photographers and stock agencies think that this type of mount is too flimsy and may be damaged too easily in handling or shipping. The chromes frequently end up with "moons" or crescent creases in them. This is why I recommend the Franklin mounts as superior for long term storage and handling.
Nobody likes to separate from a damaged original.
There are some other options ( German mftr etc) but they get even more expensive.
