May be you can practice panoramic composition with a throw away Kodak or Fuji 
or Konica or what have you plastic $10 bucks or so camera. Especially models 
with a 21mm or 24mm lens will somewhat simulate the Fuji's 105 (equivalent to 
22mm in 35mm stretch format).
