The scanner that was used by Giorgio Carboni for his Italian scenes

Giorgio tells me:

"It seems that the scanner was a SITEX, 5000 dpi, format: A2. The cost
should be around 20.000 US$ "

He apparently shot the scenes on color neagtive film, and then had them
converted through the scanning process. The scanner details (if you
downloaded the package of images) are indeed amazing, mind blowing! But who
can afford such a scanner????

The images also show that distortion with a longer lens, the 75mm Zeiss
Tessar in this case, is far less pronounced than in most panoramic cameras,
with much shorter focal lenght lenses. The only camera that will give you a
similar perspective is the new 617 Noblex, which cost a small fortune.
.
Italy of course is very photogenic to me, as I have never been there!

I was inspired by these wide angled photos!

May be Giorgio wants to make me a camera like he has?
