Hello Francois,

My name is Krista DiGiacomo and I am the Sales and Marketing person here
at Kaidan, Inc. I am not sure if you are farmiliar with Kaidan so let me
give you a brief description.

We are the leading manufacturer of "immersive imaging" or "photographic
VR" solutions.

We have a full line of panoramic tripod heads and motorized & manual
object rigs and turntables for complete photographic virtual reality
creation.

The reason I am responding to you is in regards to your question about
the Coolpix 950. Kaidan is launching a brand new panoramic tripod head
called the KiWi 900/950. This can be used with any 900 series Coolpix.

You may wonder why you need the Kaidan KiWi 900/950 so allow me to
explain what this panoramic tripod head, as well as all our pan heads,
does.

The KiWi 900/950 comes with a 2-axis bubble level, a camera
slider/positioner, a captive attachment knob and two detent discs for the
proper indexing for the standard and optional Nikon wide-angle lenses.

The KiWi 900/950 has two mounting locations to accomodate the Nikon
standard and wide-angle lenses. Thus, therešs no need to figure out the
nodal point. It also has a slot that will let you position the camera
anywhere along the bracket to support any add-on lens you desire.
Additional detent discs (2 thru 22) are also available.

The KiWi 900/950 can be purchased separately, or in affordable bundle
configurations with stitching software or utilities. Examples include,
but are not limited to, Apple QuickTime VR Authoring Studio, Live Picture
PhotoVista and Adessosoft Panotouch. Optional micro-leveling heads and
tripods are also available.

To see examples of KiWi 900/950 Coolpix panoramas be sure to visit the
following web page.

Please let me know how I may assist you further!

With Best Regards,

Krista

Hello to everyone, I'm a new member of the list with a lot of questions
>(and some answers...)

>possible a 360° view quite easier and faster than

>The journalist added that a 135 mm camera produces
>more information than QTVR technology can deal with, which would give
>advantage to a digital camera like the Nikon Coolpix 950...
>What is your idea about that ?
