You may want to consider the SmoothMove Spherical Photo Solution from Infinite Pictures for capturing and stitching together spherical panoramas. Information about this innovative, keyless system that lets you use your own 35 mm or digital camera and 14mm or longer lens is located at http://www.kaidan.com (about half way down the page).

I'm new to 360 interactive imaging. I talked to IPIX today regarding their
360-360 interactive imaging, and I was disappointed to find out that on top
of all the other software and hardware that I would have to buy, I would
also have to purchase "keys" in order to activate each 360-360 image that I
created.
So I'm wondering if anyone knows of software or a technique out there that
would allow me to create 360-360 images without having to pay for keys.
