Ink jet printers

I have and am using the HP 1120C, and would recommend it. It will print
13x19 as well as 44" pano paper. The HP PhotoRet system prints smoothly and
well. I would recommend it. It was priced @ $499.00 when I bought it last
year and there is now a $100.00 rebate so I suspect that HP is about to
announce a new model. I use my printsfor show and competition.

Try several brands of paper. The Epson paper bands on my HP, but I am now
using Mitsubishi (I have retired and work part time at a one hour lab, and
as an employee can get the paper wholesale) paper. I buy it in a 24" roll and
trim to various lengths and widths.

As to water proofing the prints, I still have my spray booth from my
Photo Studio, and spray the prints as I always sprayed my portraits with a UV
protective coat. They do not run or smear once sprayed.

As to quality, I was a PPA Master Photographer when I retired, and am
pleased with the quality. I won't say that they are the equal to a Hasselblad
2 1/4 negative print, but they are pretty darn good. The prints from my 2
1/4 x 7 trannys are beautiful. I am pleased with the HP 1120C
