...What the world needs is a 6x17 back that fits on a 5" x 7" camera...

A number of years ago I purchased the Art Panorama 6x17 format 120 only
film back for a 4x5 camera with graflock attachment.  I used it for
several
years with my 90, & 150 mm lenses without problems.  However, the back
would vignette with my 210 lens, and ,of course, any longer lens.

As time went along I decided I wanted to shoot with longer lenses so I
sought out someone who could convert the attachment of the back from 4x5
graflock to 5x7 Sinar.   I then needed to convert my Sinar 4x5 to 5x7
with the  purchase of a 5x7 back.  Being able to shoot with longer
lenses meant I also wanted to buy longer lenses (be carefull of what you
wish for, it might cost you a fortune) This combination of 5x7 and 6x17
allows me to use all of my lenses which run from 72mm to 720mm, and all
shoot full frame!

It would have been nice, albeit expensive no doubt, to have purchased
"store bought" such a combination designed by one company.  Over time
there were a couple of situations that required more, but slight,
remachining to perfect.  Everything works fine now and I have a full
featured view camera 6x17 format camera.
