something and the gnashing of teeth

reading these posts i cannot help but wonder what the state of art would be
if instead of rejecting the new ideas the established artists
had embraced them. imagine what caravaggio might have done with picasso's
ideas, bad example , but look at Dali. He flowed back and forth between the
worlds of abstract and the worlds of realism. because they refused to
listen, because they felt threatened perhaps. Has it ever occurred to anyone
that we have lost valuable tools because the old world and the new world
collided. The old boys stayed in their corner and the
new boys went off to play by themselves with just their imaginations as their
tools. i always wondered when watching these fairy tales why all the
attention was focused on the "bad guy" and why we got to find nothing out
about the people he destroyed which represents to me what was lost.
this woman was as beautiful as you simon and more imaginative. you might
have discovered that had you asked her to dance. my blustering giant friend
you did not destroy her, she did not lose this fight. she simply got off
your canvas. she went somewhere else to play. yes, we should respect the
voice of experience, but should the voice of experience not respect the young
as well? Whatever it is get over it. Or paint it or poet it or do something
with it. Would someone please pull that thorn out of this old lions paw, so
we can appreciate what he has to say? Or is it do unto others as others have
done unto you? Would someone explain the usefulness of violence to me,
please? I don't get it. We will continue to have to read about these two
dimensional characters forever? Show me everything in one picture for
heavens sake! I thought you were artists, but you refuse to be, uh, see. I
give you back your canvas simon, it is no wonder you find everyone so dull.
you are so blinded by your own ego, your own past that you can't see anything
else. i don't know if the people left in this anti-matrix, this hell are as
dull as you think, as they appear, or if they are just afaid to reveal
themselves for fear they might lose some of your valuable information. This
place is like watching someone die. It is beautiful, but so so sad and so so
painful. Off topic? How can one get off the topic of life?
