Dunno why, but when I used a 220VR (with the slit shade that attaches to the
optical bench) it seemed to tolerate these conditions much better than what
I've experienced with a Noblex. Often, the results were a natural looking
overexposed area, i.e., no obvious camera-induced artifacts.
