dear gary- i thank you for those kind words via the panoramic list. they are certainly very rare. the stamp was created by  u.n. designer rocco callari from 6x18 transparency which was made cruising down the east river after finishing assignment for ny daily news sunday magazine. look in any scott's stamp catalogue 1990 onward to see this stamp. it was the intention of chief photo officer jan ralph to create this panoramic stamp. really, rocco did it. i mainly only took the photograph. camera was fuji g618. un philatelic division has just about sold out on l989 printing, printed in amsterdam, as i recall. film: fuji...what else would i dare use on the fuji blimp. signed-simon   there is lots more to the story...

valuable experience with us.  You deserve a great deal of respect from all
photographers.
