Hi , thanks for your reply . I worked for a Government research agency as a 
photographer , and when it was privatised the Phot Dept was closed . They 
decided to auction off the equipment and I bought a Hassalblad Kit and the 
Alpa . It came with normal lens , and the close up lens you talked about . I 
got the Alpa for £360 ( $520 ) as the dealers at the auction didnt really 
know what it was .  It had been bought for a specific project and had never 
been used till I joined the Dept and took it home at weekends to play with . 
So I have the capacity for close up photography ,  but wish some times when I 
am out in the hills & and the desired  subject is too far away & and I dont 
have a team of sherpas or helicopter :~)  to get me and the monster and its 
tripod , closer , that I had a longer focal length lens.  
Are there many Alpa users in the States as I was told that only six were sold 
in the Uk ?
