Close Ups with non-rotational Fuji G617

Hi:
I got thinking the other day that my Fuji G617 can only focus as close
as 3 meters. I was thinking of trying some supplementary close up lenses
for images closer than 10 feet (3 meters). Do any of you have any
experience along these lines? Is it a waste of  my time to try it?
