Panoramic images of about 12x40 inch at 300dpi. A single image wouldn't crush
the system. When I put three of them onto one image file to create a 4x5 tranny
at >3000 dpi I couldn't flatten the layers because 4GB wasn't enough.
Eventually I down-sampled the files and got my tranny out. One single 12x40
image is a little over 100MB in RBG and about 150MB in CMYK. Using layers
the file size could easily double or triple. When it comes to scratch files,
photoshop sometimes require spaces over 10 times of the actual file size.
