RE: 1/2 slide

Now that you mention it, I knew a photographer in Southern California who
took the cut-out approach. In fact, she bought my V-Pan. Anyway, she told me
that she sometimes had trouble with the slide hanging up on the far edge of
the opening when she removed the mask. She used an extra sheet of 4x5 film
as a guide to prevent the mask/slide from catching on the light trap. This
also argues for taking really good care of the mask to prevent bending it.
