On the Epson mailing list are some people testing other papers that may
not show the dreaded orange shift. Ilford papers seem to have less
problems on gas fading. If economy is the most important issue you
should try to buy the 1200 that prints a bit coarser but allow you to
use third part inks like Xtreme Gamut. It promises to be more fade proof
than the 1270 inks now. You can also use the www.nomorecarts.com
continuous ink feeding system on that printer.
