The Imacon Precision II scanner will accommodate film lengths of up to 225 mm
(a bit over 8 3/4")

At a width of 24mm the scanner offers 5760 ppi optical, and at a width of up
to 60mm you can obtain 3200 ppi optical. You may also scan a 4" wide by 8+
inches at 1800 ppi.

Scans are either 8 bit per channel RGB, (24 bit) or 16 bit per channel RGB
(48 bit) or 8 bit per channel CMYK (32 bit) files, as well as 8 bit or 16 bit
gray scale or line art.

The Imacon scanners offer a 3.9 dynamic range (4.1 dmax) and are well suited
to transparencies, color negative materials, black and white, and reflection
copy.

The scanners have a unique film handling capability where the film is placed
into a flexible magnetic carrier and wrapped around an internal drum as the
scan progresses. This allows for extreme film flatness and also allows a
film to lens to CCD array path with no intermediate surfaces that require
cleaning, or that may contribute to loss of contrast and resolution. The
path is unobstructed and there is no need to gel or oil mount the originals.
