PhotoVista 2.0 is indeed a large step forward over its predecessors which I
have always considered to be good products. The Live Picture technical
folks truly laid many cornerstones. I have had a copy of PV 2.0 for a few
months and have spoken with the great folks at MGI Software out here in San
Jose. I use PV on my portable for on-site trial stitches to verify that my
source images are OK.

The reason why I choose Panorama factory for my final stitches and important
prints is that I find its blending algorithm more forgiving in 360s with
lots of motion. True, there is the occasional ghost, but I have PhotoVista
360s that reflect surprising decisions around people's faces that had moved.
These artifacts are simply a result of algorithm side effects and each
algorithm has some.

Last Sunday, I used Panorama Factory to stitch a final 70 MByte Tiff image
shot with an Olympus 3000Z. Processing took about 30 minutes on a 450 MHz
Pentium III. I used Panorama Factory's new wizard with all optional
enhancements selected. As always, it was effortless and very forgiving -
the camera was crooked on the vertical bracket. I still impressed the
client.

Have you tried Version 2.2? It has a great wizard which makes using it
effortless. Best of all, you get to try it for 30 days with no charge.
And, the support is just fabulous. John Strait really jumps through hoops
to please his customers.
