new street pans

Colleagues,

The September up-date for the Lookaround gallery is titled "Interchronic
Street Panoramas". It is a series of pictures made from sections of longer
panoramic negatives. There are a couple of GIF animations that take a
minute or so to load if you don't have a fast connection - but well worth
the wait :-)

Panoramas record the instants and incidents of street photography in a
peculiar way. The panoramic record is a long image made with a camera that
sweeps through the scene. If the scene changes in the time it takes the
camera to record it, then, at no point in the record is the scene the way it
actually was. This offers a panoramically post modern opportunity to
restructure the text and shuffle signs around to extract vignettes and
serial images.

Please have a look,

AZ
