Nash Editions in Manhattan Beach, CA (Yes, Graham Nash) has been doing large
format archival ink prints for years now. They're not cheap - but either is
their craftsmanship. They'll experiment with just about anything you can
think of, and turn around time is painfully slow. Perfectionists.

Direct Digital Master Prints (digital laser-imaged onto real Kodak
photographic paper) can be done fairly inexpensively, and I've seen some
incredible results - huge formats too, like 60 inches by 10 feet.
There's only one place on the West coast I know that does it (there may be
more - I don't know) - it's Photomation, in Anaheim, CA - They do tons of
Disney stuff, as well as major high-end auto accounts - worth looking into,
and you can download your file for their output...

I only put a plug in for these businesses because they're pioneers in the
industry, and incredibly fussy about color and quality - like the rest of
us.
Best,
Jeff
