OK Mark, that sounds like a good way but how about a slightly different
problem? I am in Washington DC. I would like to shoot a 360 panorama from
the top of the Washington Monument. The observation deck has four small
ports, each post has a closed window that they will not allow you to open.
I would like to shoot a 360 but haven't seen an easy way yet. My options
are: Noblex 150 (no shift), stitching 35mm images options include 14mm,
20-35 zoom, 28mm PC & 35mm PC (and longer lenses). What would you consider
as the best way? The top is small, maybe 30' side to side so parallax isn't
a major factor. My first inclination is to shoot 4 noblex images, one from
each window and stitch those together. Second thought is to shoot with 28PC
(I doubt that Park Service would allow a tripod). I could also shoot with
the extreme wide 14mm.
