Ed Segal's almost FREE warehouse liquidation

February 26, 2001

Hello Fellow Photo Professionals and Enthusiasts -
especially those in the Washington D.C./ Northern VA/ Baltimore area,

Many of you know or have heard of our father Edward Segal and his business
Capitol Photo which has been around Washington, D.C. since the 1920's. Ed
has specialized in Cirkut panoramic photography as well as general trade
show and business coverage for the past 50 years.

As Ed has rarely thrown anything photographic away, he has maintained a 1500
sq ft ( x 20 ft high) warehouse for many years and filled it with just about
every imaginable piece of photo and lab equipment from the 40's through
90's. Tough times means its time to empty the warehouse.

Ton's of this old gear-many lights, 4 enlargers,4x5, 5x7, 8x10, 11x14 film
backs, stainless steel and plastic lab trays, many film loading spools,
metal shelving and cabinets, books, 40x42 paper cutter, over 1000 flash
bulbs of various sizes, file cabinets, ladders, lots of office equipment
(including two Lucent phone sytems and two computers, new fabric office
dividers, desks etc) is now available to you for next to nothing.

Also there are at least two hundred Cirkut and other B&W and Color prints
available many of them framed or plaqued and many antique.

Name your price on most items. No kidding. This is a distress liquidation
sale, No reasonable offer (and very few unreasonable ones) will be refused.
Please remember that 100% of your purchase price will go towards Capitol
Photo paying its bills.

This is a liquidation with one catch: the lease expires on Feb 28th ! You
must go to the Capitol Photo warehouse with your wagon, van, truck or car by
Tuesday Feb 27, 7 pm ( Make an appointment below) in order to pick out and
pick up whatever you want. I know this is short notice and does not leave
you much time ( it MAY be possible to still pick up stuff on Wednesday
morning, ask Kendall) but at these prices, it will be worth your while.

Please let your friends in photography education know about this as there is
no time for us to call the DC/MD/VA area high schools and colleges. If you
have contacts at the schools please call them or forward this email: We will
donate whatever is left over to these folks for their photo departments but
they must come and pick it up!

Please call Kendall Pinion at 240 401 1865 ( night 301-277-6347) for info
and appointment but PLEASE do not ask him to send an inventory list as there
is none due to the last minute disorganization.

VERY IMPORTANT Please call to make an appointment with Kendall before
arriving
