Re: Stop action better with digital camera than revolving camera
Well, the proof of the pudding is in the printed page. Most of the medium high resolution cameras will print a quite good 8x10, and what we're talking about, in most cases is an 8x whatever length you want to print. It gives you a real nice print. Since only the HP 1120 and several consumer printers will give you a print up to 44 inches, we are not in a position to print a full 360 print from a negative larger than 35mm. In fact I think an 8" high print takes 55" length to print a full 360. Truthfully, most people have a problem looking at a 360 print. I find I have to train my eye to look at the 360, so most times, a less than 360 view seems to work best. I don't have a digital camera, so everything I print very long is from a stitched print made from either negs or transparancies. I feel I am getting along just fine printing from a digital file and stitching. CharlesofSC
